Type-C Charger: Everything else being banned, will there be only one charger for smartphones?  Which one?

Type-C Charger: Apple claimed that the decision would multiply the amount of electronic waste if implemented.  Even this decision will greatly reduce the innovativeness of the new generation of electronic devices.

The European Parliament has approved a major decision on mobile phones, tablets and cameras.

 The new rules require countries in the European Union to have a single charging port (read Type-C charging port) by  Apple could be the most affected by the new decision, according to experts.  However, Apple has expressed concerns about the proposal in Parliament.

Apple claimed that the decision would multiply the amount of electronic waste if implemented.  Even this decision will greatly reduce the innovativeness of the new generation of electronic devices.  Sources said the decision was also voted on in Parliament before it was implemented.

However, EU lawmakers supported the new reforms with a large majority.  The motion received 602 votes in favor and only 13 against.  Although the decision was announced in secret, there has been no response from major smartphone manufacturers like Apple, Samsung and Huawei.  However, there is already speculation about the impact on countries outside the European Union.
